NASA Tech-Packed Building Prototype Building for Stressed Earth

Michael Killen, TV Internet talk show host, after interviewing Steven Zornetzer, who is in charge of research at NASA Ames, said, “NASA packed the building Sustainability Base with technology it developed for living and working in a really harsh environment—space—where you must generate your own energy and recycle all the water and air needed. This building will have a profound impact on how building are now built.” In the interview Zornetzer, the “Father of Sustainability Base,” shared insights that will help companies license the technology and increase the return on investment. Michael also acknowledged that the vision for “Sustainability Base” inspired him to make the painting “Sustainability” (24 x 5 feet).

Pat Burt, Palo Alto council member and former Mayor, also shares his thoughts on the importance of NASA and Zornetzer’s work.
