California Law Opens Market for Renewable Energy Business and Jobs: Interview with California 11th District Senator Joe Simitian

State Senator Joe Simitian, Silicon Valley and the 11th Senate District, in an interview with Michael Killen, made clear that the State’s utilities are now a multibillion dollar opportunity for products and services that will help them meet the new state law—one/third of the energy that they provide their customers in 2020 must come from renewable sources. He discusses Senate Bill 2X, which was signed by Governor Jerry Brown on April 12 and is often referred to as the “Simitian bill.” He comments on Governor Jerry Brown, Arnold Schwarzenegger and the needs of his district and the State. http://www.senatorsimitian.com/.
